YOGACHARYA Kiran Salunke Born in Mysore (South India) in 1978, Kiran comes from a family of traditional Ayurvedic and Yoga in Mysore, India. Kiran was introduced to the Ashtanga discipline in 1991, at the age of 13 years by his mother Sandhya, a dedicated student ofSri K. Pattabhi Jois (Guruji)for over 15 years in Mysore and has been a vital source in teaching her son the Yoga Philosophy and methods, since he was a child.

 

Since then Kiran has practised Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga with many master teachers in India, including the renownedGuru Sri Sheshadriof (Mysore, South India). Kiran intensified his Yoga Philosophy studies withSwami Mahadevananda andSwami Siva Swarupananda in International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram(South India, Kerala).

 

Kiran has been blessed from International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram  as YOGA SIROMANI, and also holds Masters in YOGIC SCIENCE (M.Y), whereas by the grace of god, the title YOGACHARYA was awarded.


He dedicated many years to refining and developing his practice and has extensive training in "Yoga Therapy" from Dr. K.R.I Jagadish (Mysore) who runs a free clinic known as "Jag Therapy".

 

In Addition to his yoga practice, Kiran had this  great opportunity to study Pranic healing & Pranic Psychotherapy, where he could experience the Astral body, how it works and changes in ones practice of Asanas, Pranayama & Deep Meditation.


Kiran, then was introduced to Dr. Sundar Rajan, A dean in Dept. of Sports ANNA UNIVERSITY (Chennai-South India) where he worked for a Research conducted for Stress Management.

Kiran's personal practice includes Asana, Pranayama, Holistic healing & deep Meditation, all of which he shares as appropriate.


As a teacher, Kiran is firm and gentle with a light and humorous touch, he is fully capable of giving delicate and wise adjustments that balance the student from any difficulties in his/her Asana Practice.


Kiran has been teaching Power Yoga Classes, workshops and retreats at various locations in Asia and Dubai.
